FINGERLINGS RELEASE CEREMONY FOR REGENERATING THE AQUATIC RESOURCES IN GULF OF TONKIN

On the morning of April 1, 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province coordinated to organize the fingerlings release Ceremony to restore fisheries resources in the Gulf of Tonkin on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of Fisheries.

Among the attendants in the ceremony, there were representatives, namely Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam; Mr. Hoang Binh Quan, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Committee for External Relations; leaders of the Directorate of Fisheries, leaders of Quang Ninh province and mass organizations. In particular, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of China and the leader of the Zhuang National Autonomous Region also attended the program.

 

The fingerlings release ceremony for regenerating 2019 aquatic resources is held in Tuan Chau, Ha Long, Quang Ninh.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phung Duc Tien - Deputy Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said: "The program for the fish release to regenerate the aquatic resources this time is held simultaneously in 45 provinces and cities countrywide. In the Gulf of Tonkin, 5.2 million fingerlings and shrimp are released into the sea, estimated at 30 million population nationwide in this program."

 

More than 5.2 million shrimp and fingerlings were released in the Gulf of Tonkin on this occasion.

 

For many years, Hong Ha has accompanied with the Directorate of Fisheries and other enterprises to attend the fingerlings ceremony for regenerating aquatic resources with the role of supporting the popularized resources, fully funding the procurement of fingerlings including tiger shrimp, cobia, grouper, and striped bass... This is an annual program to raise the awareness, obligations and responsibilities of organizations and individuals in the observance of fisheries laws and marine environmental protection, sustainable exploitation of resources, regeneration, restoration, and conservation and development of natural aquatic resources.
